BOOKS

St. Marcellin Champagnat founded the Marist Brothers in LaValla, a small hamlet in France in 1817. Over the years, numerous books have been written about St. Marcellin and his young companions who helped allow his Marist dream to become a lived reality. Generations of Marist Brothers and Lay Marists have continued to foster and build the Marist charism that was created by St. Marcellin and our early Marists. This book shares stories of several modern-day Marists who have profoundly impacted our Marist world.

My Earlier Books

A Marist Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

Throughout the history of Christianity, many pilgrims have made sacred journeys to the Holy Land. In the summer of 2023, ten Marist Brothers made such a pilgrimage. This book contains the personal reflections and prayers from one of those pilgrims. This day-by-day description of this pilgrimage allows readers to grow in their understanding of the Holy Family. Many of the prayers shared throughout this book are reflections on some of our most sacred gospel stories. This book might also serve as a reference guide for anyone hoping to visit the Holy Land or for those who may simply wish to learn more about the land of where God once walked.

Walking with Mary

Throughout the history of Christianity, Mary has been a central figure in the story of Christ. From her willingness at the Annunciation to bear the Son of God to her embracing her crucified Son at the foot of the cross, she always remained faithful to her role as the mother of God. The author shares many personal reflections on the life of Mary, his sister in faith. The story is also told from the perspective of how Mary has impacted and continues to inspire the Marist Brothers religious community of which the author is a member. Many themes are explored in this book including images of Mary, places of Marial pilgrimage, reflections on aspects of Mary’s life as well as numerous Marist connections to their “Ordinary Resource.”
