Today our church celebrates the Feast of St. Marcellin Champagnat, founder of the Marist Brothers. His dream of impacting the lives of many young people continues today in 82 countries around our world. Millions of young people have attended our schools over the years and have been part of our many other ministries such as summer camps, orphanages, social service centers, refugee camps and youth groups. Today Brothers and many Lay Marists make up the Marists of Champagnat that impact our world and the lives of many every day. The needs in our world and country are as great today as they were in Champagnat’s time. May God grace us with the courage, perseverance and wisdom to be the Champagnat’s of today and meet those challenges.
